The 7 rules for every reel
Follow these and your content will reach more customers nearby. Skip them and visibility drops.
One product per reel
Each reel should focus on exactly one item — one dress, one food item, one shoe. Avoid cramming multiple products into a single video.
Clear and stable footage
Upload only clear, steady videos and photos. Blurry, shaky, dark, or low-quality content will get lower visibility in the feed.
Keep human interaction minimal
The product or store should be the hero. Avoid long conversations, people talking continuously, or faces dominating the frame.
Quiet, clean background
Record in a clean environment. Noisy backgrounds, clutter, or chaotic surroundings make the product harder to understand.
Real content from your store only
No AI-generated images, no copied reels, no stock footage from the internet. We only show what's actually yours.
Vertical videos (9:16)
Shoot vertical. That's how people watch on the app, and vertical clips consistently outperform horizontal ones.
Keep it short — 5 to 15 seconds
Short clips hold attention. The best-performing reels on Localhiest are between 5 and 15 seconds.
Good quality content helps your business reach more nearby customers.

Be real. That's the whole point.
Local customers trust what they see. If something feels off, they won't come back — to your shop or the platform.
Your own content only
Post videos and photos you shot, or that you have a license to use.
Honest pricing
If you advertise a price or offer, honor it at the store.
Real products
Show the actual items you sell, not reference images from the internet.
No impersonation
Don’t post as a business you don’t own or represent.

How we moderate
Every reel is reviewed before it goes live. We move fast on spam, scams, fake businesses, adult content, and abuse. We're relaxed about editing style and production polish — if your video is real, it'll ship.
If a reel is rejected, you'll see why and can re-upload a fixed version.
A note on enforcement
We reserve the right to remove content that violates our platform policies or negatively impacts user experience. For repeat or severe violations we may also restrict or remove the business account.
These guidelines will evolve as Localhiest grows. We'll update this page when anything meaningful changes.
